Ceramics dug from my roots.
The word "Kift" is a term used primarily by the people of Pembrokeshire. Its defines someone as being clumsy, awkward or even left handed. Despite the fact it's not seen as a positive term, and that I was called kift throughout my childhood, something about the phrase now seems endearing. When getting my hands into clay, I was far from a natural. I was clumsy and struggling to learn by watching right handed people throw. Despite being away from home, this word always followed, so there's no surprise it made its way into my practice.
